Land of the free and the home of anyone with a W2!

Once again I am left with no choice but to get right at it...no time for preamble. As you are no doubt aware, Congress has approved a package to send rebate checks to all Americans. This bill was approved to help stimulate the economy by putting some extra cash into American's hands. American's Hands! Well as we should have expected some of the usual suspects in Congress, are trying to be slick and give the government rebates to illegal immigrants also. This bill had a little loophole quietly slipped in between all of the hoopla that included anyone who has worked in the US last year and received a W2 statement.

You do not need to be an American citizen to receive a W2. All workers who were paid a wage in the US are supposed to get W2 forms. Well, this bill left The House with this neat little gem neatly tucked inside. Members of the US Senate had to do some last minute scrambling and negotiating to get that provision out of the bill. Can you believe this? This was actually a point of contentious debate that required compromise to get the proposal approved. Members of our Congress were actually fighting to get checks into the hands of illegals...at our expense of course.

We were within a nats'eyelash of providing federal rebates to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!!! We won't be satisfied until we just give it all away to illegals. That will make these crazies happy...just give it all away. If we had sent checks to illegals don't you know they would have sent that money straight back home to bolster their economies instead of ours? This money was earmarked to help the US economy not a foreign economy! Good God!

I wonder what it will take before we finally wake up and realize just how out of hand we've gotten.
